EVENT: Brussels, 27/10/2022: Improving protection for stateless refugees
On Thursday 27 October (13:30-20:00 CEST) we're launching our #StatelessJourneys campaign and hosting a discussion on how Europe can improve protection for stateless refugees.
The main event will consist of two panels with speakers from relevant European institutions, UNHCR, as well as refugee response actors and stateless activists.
We will hear about the impact on stateless migrants and refugees of not having adequate routes to protection in place. The speakers will also discuss how to galvanise action at national and regional levels to ensure that States and regional institutions take steps to improve the protection available to stateless people and resolve statelessness.
The discussion will be followed by a drinks reception and film screening to mark the 10-year anniversary of the European Network on Statelessness.
